Sotheby’s Paris is pleased to announce its second sale of Haute Couture, presented in association with Kerry Taylor Auctions: 140 Little Black Dresses, or Petites robes noires, from the private collection of Didier Ludot.
Ludot, famous in Paris as the “fashion antiquarian”, is known to fashion lovers from all over the world. Alongside his mythic boutique in the Palais Royal, Ludot has built up, over a period of almost forty years, a private collection of rare and important pieces by the greatest of designers.

This exceptional auction will include selections from Ludot’s collection of Little Black Dresses, with creations by legendary couturiers such as Cristóbal Balenciaga, Pierre Balmain, Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Jean Patou, Marc Vaughan and Yohji Yamamoto.
