The Saint Honoré team, represented by Carole Montillet-Carles and Valérie Dot, won the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles 2015 edition in the expert category.

The two “gazelles”, who together tally 23 participations in the Rallye (12 for Carole and 11 for Valérie), both put their experience to work for the team. These determined warrior women are among the competitors who never give up, and whose objective is “to win” while having “a lot of fun”.

Their perseverance certainly paid off! After eight intense days, Carole and Valérie finished their Moroccan desert crossing in first place. They left their mark in the new “Expert” category, created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Rallye and reserved for the most experienced competitors.

Like the two winners, all the participants faced gruelling challenges and accomplished feats of courage and persistence. The adventure carried them along through a complicated circuit described by many participants as the most difficult to date. Many of the rally raiders came away from this fierce experience – one befitting of this anniversary edition – completely transformed.

And with the anniversary edition came a new challenge! The “partner challenge” was created this year by four sponsors: Continental, Gan, Volkwagen and Saint Honoré. Over a weekend, the company managers went in search of markers in the same conditions as the rally participants, with map and compass in hand. Saint Honoré and its CEO Thierry Frésard won the challenge, bringing home a second victory for the French watchmaker. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Finally, to conclude the festivities of this 25th edition, the girls swapped out of their blue vests and dusty boots and got dressed to the nines. The gala dinner was attended by such VIPs as the governor of Essaouira, Paul and Luana Belmondo, Danièle Evenou, Elise Lucet and Jean-Marc Généreux. The party continued into the small hours with celebration and dancing.
