We are committed to strengthening and maintaining a strong safety culture, and SMA has for years led the industry in safety.  This, combined with SMA’s public policy leadership, will benefit both Bayou Steel and the industry as a whole.”

“We are pleased to welcome Bayou Steel group to the SMA,” stated Philip K. Bell, president of the SMA. “It is important that we, as the voice for the EAF steel industry, come together to address common challenges. We look forward to Bayou Steel’s contributions as a producer member.”
