Bengaluru to Host one of India’s Largest CSR Conferences

nasscom-foundationBengaluru, 23rd November 2016: NASSCOM Foundation today, announced that it will host one of India’s largest CSR Conferences – The CSR Leadership Conference 2016 in Bangalore on the 24th of November 2016 at the Leela palace Hotel. The event will see over 300 CEOs, CXOs, CSR Heads, HR Heads of the top most companies from across various industries with the NGO Leads, Government officials, thought leaders, Tech4Good champions, social innovators come under one roof to discuss and create collaborative and innovative ways of fulfilling the most important Social Development Goals for India like education, skills, health, environment and help create a roadmap to a new, developed India.

The CSR Leadership Conference (CLC) in its third year, will focus towards the theme of ‘Driving the India Development Agenda through CSR’ will try and take the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, map them up in the Indian social development context and find CSR based solutions to achieve them. In this process, the CLC will deep dive into growing trends of a multi-stakeholder approach to the development agenda, contextualizing global learnings in the local paradigmexploring the approach of corporates in creating shared values, and aligning and diversifying CSR focus for the overall global Sustainable Development Goals in the form of panel discussions, fireside chats and ‘TED’ like impact/ignite sessions.

 

Dr. Ajay Kumar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India, as the chief guest for the event, will share his immense knowledge and experience on how the private sector through its CSR initiatives can work with the government to help India reach great heights.

The CLC which started primarily as an IT-BPM industry specific CSR conference, has widened its approach and has come out to help companies from across various industries in fulfilling their CSR goals in a meaningful way.
