Choreographer Sandip Soparrkar bestowed with “National Achievement Award 2014”

Each year people from different walks of like are awarded the “National Achievement Award”, this prestigious award is recognition for all the hard work and dedication put into their respective field of work. Be it social work, media, politics, spirituality, entertainment or art. Personalities who make India proud are recognised and bestowed with this honour.

This year National Achievement Award 2014 were held in New Delhi at Hindi Bhavan. At this grand political event in presence of big dignitaries of India, world renowned dancer choreographer Sandip Soparrkar was awarded the “National Achievement Award” 2014 in the field of  choreography and dance. India’s first women IAS officer, the dynamic Kiran Bedi handed him with this honour.

Choreographer has always mesmerized the audience through his innovative work in films. Recently the Sandip represented Indian dance community at Cannes Film festival as well as Madrid Film festival where he popularised bollywood to international media and audience. His powerful performance as a choreographer in the film like Saat Khoon Maaf, Kites, Mangal Pandey and many more have won hearts, he has also made International music Icons like Madonna and Britney Spears dance to his tunes. Not just that the renowned dancer has used his art to raise funds and awareness for varies charities world over. This honour was an applaud for all his hard work.

Sandip Soparrkar said, “I feel humbled to receive this honour and I thank all who have always believed in my art and have constantly supported all my endeavour especially my social  ones where I have tried to use my gift of God to bring about awareness in society.”

The evening saw the presence of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Harish Rawat, Ex Union Cabinet Minister Shri Oscar Fernandes, Member of Parliament Shri Manoj Tiwari and many more.

The Newspapers Association of India (NAI) constitutes of 7000 newspapers and media houses from across the country. NAI recognizes and honours outstanding people of the industry each year from all walks of life with the National Achievement Award. This is the 22nd NAI National Achievement Award which also saw the launch of Afternoon Voice Newspaper in Delhi.
