CMEE IIM Lucknow organized the mega International Marketing Conference 2017

Indian-Institute-of-Management-IIM-LucknowNoida 7thJan 2016:IIM Lucknow organized the grand Annual Conference of Emerging Market Conference Board in 2017 at Noida campus today on the theme “Reaching Consumers of Emerging Markets. The Conference is one of the largest marketing conclaves in the emerging world. It is dedicated towards the advancement of marketing in Emerging Markets and facilitation of collaboration on Emerging Markets research.

Conference Highlights:

The conference was organized mainly for Marketing Practitioners, Academicians and Doctoral students from 5-7th January 201. It has received more than 300 research papers from across the world and more than 200participants from over 16 countries who presented their research papers. The Conference was addressed by academicians such as –Prof.RajanVaradarajan(Texas A&M University),Prof. Naresh Malhotra(Gergia Tech),  Prof. AmitavaChattopadhyay (INSEAD), Prof.NirajDawar(IVY) and Prof. Murali Mantrala, University of Missouri, USA, Prof. Len Tiu Wright, University of Huddersfield, UK, Prof. Manjit S. Yadav, Texas A&M University, USA among others. Prominent  academic associates of the Conference were: AMA, ACR, EMAC, AMS, and NASMEI.

Hon’ble Minister Railways Shri Suresh Prabhu  spoke on ‘Public Sector Marketing: Challenges and Opportunities’.Five roundtable discussions covering major contemporary issues such as Brand Building Challenges faced by Emerging Markets, Role of Marketing Research on Public policy decision making, Rethinking Marketing program in Emerging economy, Environmental; Sustainability and Marketing, Affordable health care delivery  etc. Renowned academicians and marketing practitioners had spoken on ‘ Crafting impactful theory  for understanding  emerging markets,  Impact of technology on marketing channel design, International Franchising in emerging economies, Customer co-creation, B2B Marketing, Design for great for profit, How to write publishable Quali research, Choice Modelling etc. Two interesting sessions on contemporary research tools and techniques were held such as ‘Neuroscience and Marketing; ‘Research through Gaming’. Around 50 renowned speakers across globe addressed  in this mega conference. Best paper award was given on overall level, doctoral category and research practitioner category. Emerald India and MRSI sponsored best paper award.

Whereas Prof Satyabhusan Dash – Chairperson of CMEE welcomed all open arms and expressed his happiness saying that” I am happy to see such an overwhelming response of participant’s who made an effort to present the paper from across the globe. Prof. Satyabhusan Dash made presentation of review of research in emerging economies and presented out that the voice of emerging economy consumers is not heard in top Journals like developed economy consumers. He stressed that more planned impactful research should be done on emerging economy consumers and public policy should be developed on the basis hearingvoice of consumers in emerging economies.
