Deutsche Asset Management India launches: DWS Hybrid Fixed Term Fund – Series 23, 3 years close ended debt scheme.

DWS Hybrid Fixed Term Fund – Series 23 is a debt fund that takes advantage of the trends in Fixed Income and Equity markets with a hybrid portfolio. A hybrid portfolio of debt and equity instruments would typically have low volatility as compared to equity; endeavors to preserve capital with potential for capital appreciation; and have a lower risk vis-a-vis a pure equity portfolio. The DWS Hybrid Fixed Term Fund – Series 23 is an alternative investment for conservative investors intending to invest in equity markets.

The fund opens for subscription on 18th June 2014 and closes on 2nd July 2014. The objective of the Scheme is to generate income by investing in fixed income securities maturing on or before the date of the maturity of the Scheme and to generate capital appreciation by investing in equity and equity related instruments. The benchmark is CRISIL MIP Blended Index. DWS Hybrid Fixed Term Fund – Series 23 would be listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The investments would be locked in for the scheme’s tenure; however, the units held in dematerialized form can be traded on the stock exchange(s).

The unit offer price is Rs. 10/- per unit during NFO period. No entry and exit load will be applicable. An investor can invest with a minimum of Rs. 5,000/- and in multiples of Rs. 1/- thereafter. The asset allocation pattern is 75 – 100% in Domestic Debt Instruments including government securities, upto 20% in Money Market Instruments, Cash & Cash Equivalents and 5 – 20% in Equity and Equity related securities.
