The Raider family of watches blends the latest advances in precision mechanics with a style reflective of perfection, performance and exemplary strength. Inspired by the brands own legendary watches, the design DNA is evident with the signature tetradecagon bezel, rectangular indices noticed earlier in the Deep Blue, and the striking hands seen on the Favre-Leuba Bathy. This amalgamation of the past, transitions into the bold look of the future with its sharp lines and formidable size, thus creates the retrofuturistic design philosophy that is unique to Favre-Leuba. The 2018 Watchstar award winner RaiderBivouac 9000which is already a masterpiece in the line, is the first timepiece to incorporate an altimeter capable of measuring altitude up to 9000m.The diver’s collection comprising the Harpoonand theDeep Blue, and the all-sport chronograph Sea Skywhich is a perfect companion on land as well as in the sea,have since their launch become the time-piece of choice for pioneers who don’t want to compromise on style and accuracy.
The Raider Sea King – incorporates the family’s bold and unmistakable design language and transforms it to perfectly compliment both, the smart day attire as well as evening dressing. The Sea King, along with its partner watch, the Sea Bird, features a fluted bezel, in addition to the signature tetradecagonal bezel.The multi-layered case resulting from these bezels, along with their interplay of polished and satin-brushed surfaces, provides a dynamic style and confident contrast.The arc extending across the sides of the case from lug to lug is reflective of the connection from the historic accomplishments of the brand to the innovation journey of the present and of a mindset that is shaped by freedom and independence.
True as a companion, the individuality of the time-keeper is a vital component in the design elements of the Sea King. Three different dial colors can be chosen from reflecting the spirit of the wearer:an understated gentle slate grey hue – discreet yet stylish midnight black or – a deep royal oceanic blue. The new watch displays the same design DNA with the large, rectangular, applied indexes and distinctive, easily readable, and luminous hands to make a statement of the powerful functionality that lays under the cover. The sapphire crystal used on this model is flat and finished with the anti-reflective coating, to ensure the clear visibility of time under all conditions. The case back is screwed in place to ensure that it’s always perfectly aligned – a precision that conveys no detail is ever too small at Favre-Leuba.The 100m water resistant watch is held snuggly onto the wrist due to its comfortable lug drop, which is further enhanced by the dial matching, soft antelope leather strap option available.
