Girls should be aware about the hygiene issues and Good and Bad touch: Dr. Aruna Kalra, Senior Gynaecologist

Gurugram, 29 January,  2018: Rashtra Hit Sewa Sangathan an extension of Rotary Club, Gurgaon organised a health and hygiene awareness camp for young girls. The event was organised to spread the awareness among young girls not only about the hygiene but also about their daily diet and other problems like menstrual cycles and how to deal with it.

​​There were many eminent personalities present in the event to give their support to this meaningful cause. Senior Gynaecologist and Director of the CK Birla Hospital, Gurgaon, Dr. Aruna Kalra was also present in the event and shared her valuable thoughts with the young girls. Speaking about the event Dr Kalra said, “There is a need to spread the awareness among young girls about balanced iron and protein rich diet, importance of exercise and outdoor games for their overall development and about hygiene practices during menstrual cycles. If girls were not aware about these topics then how would they be able to understand the intricacies about these issues.”

Dr. Kalra also spoke about the Good and Bad Touch and how girls should be trained to deal with these delicate problems. There are many cases coming up across the country about sexual assault with young school going girls. That is why it is more important to spread awareness on these issues.

​​Young participants were very much engaged in the whole session and eager to gain knowledge and awareness from the speakers. The event was very successful as many participants actively participated and enjoyed the newly gained knowledge.Rashtra Hit Sewa Sangathan promised to organised  many such events in the future also.

Dr. Aruna Kalra is the famous Gynaecologist and Obstetrics Surgeon. Dr. Kalra did her MBBS (Graduation) from BRD MEDICAL COLLEGE, Gorakhpur and later did her masters MD in  Gynaecologist and Obstetrics from KMC, MANGLORE. Her extensive experience in obstetrics, sensitive and patient approach to labouring patient with ongoing prenatal yoga sessions results in 90% normal vaginal deliveries even in previous caesarean patients.

Her expertise lies in minimally invasive gynaecological surgeries, High-risk pregnancies and vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC) and Scarless Laproscopic Surgery. After working with many high profile Hospitals like Kasturba Hospital, Batra Hospital, Paras Hospital Dr. Aruna got the opportunity to work with CK Birla Hospital, Gurugram where she is presently the Director and Senior Gynaecologist Surgeon. She is also the MD of Mums Clinic in Gurugram.
