Jaypee Hospital organises seminar on Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgical Problems

Noida, 5th April 2016: Department of GI and Hepatopancreatobiliary organized a seminar at Jaypee Hospital a multi speciality hospital, located in sector 128, Noida. More than 200 doctors from across India (Hyderabad, Bangalore, Lucknow, Uttrakhand, etc) came together to attend this workshop.  The discussion amongst the various gastero surgeon doctors were on topics like Liver, Pancrease and Gallbladder.

Dr. Rajesh Kapoor Director – GI & Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Surgery said “In North India problems of stone in Gall bladder are commonly found amongst people. Also the problem of Gallbladder cancer is one serious concern found in North India compared to any other towns and cities. There is simple ultrasound procedure through which a stone can be located in Gall bladder. The recent study reveals nearly three out of one thousand people are suffering from Gallbladder cancer and it has now become prime importance to diagnosis the cause at the first stage. Immediately after cancer is detected operation is conducted to remove the liver and glands so as patient can survive and live for longer life”.

Dr. Rajesh Kapoor and Dr. Sadhik Sikori also briefed about the problems related to acute Pan Creatitis and Cystic Tumor. Acute Pan Creatitis is generally found due to stones in Gallbladder and high intake of alcohol, which is an increase in number these days amongst people.

On this occasion, Dr. Punit Dhar from Mata Amrit Institute discussed about problems and treatment of Liver tumor, he also addressed upon advance technology and latest machines now a days helping us to do procedures with great success rate. Whereas, Dr. Malay Sharma G.I, Jaypee Hospital touched upon benefits of endoscopic ultrasound in finding out cancer in digestive system.

The workshop also addressed issues such as accidents that may hurt the body parts such as Liver, Intestine, and pancreases. If Pancreases is not treated at right time it may be severely harm the human body in long run.

Dr. Rajesh Kapoor, Director – GI & Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Surgery also spoke about treatment of digestive system and importantly he advised surgeon must me fully aware on problems related to liver, pancreases, digestive system, gall bladder and veins.
