The first half of the event revolved around a mind-twister Bollywood Quiz led by the Aditya Nath Mubayi, a well-known quiz master. The pop-up quiz event was brilliantly curated by whysoQrious. After an hour long thrill, the post interval session was rather musical. Hopping on the Rapid Metro and capturing the cinematographic beauty of the evolving city, participants sung their favourite Hindi movies songs (Antakshari on Train) in the lively presence of Gautam Chintamani – Film Scholar, Yasser Usman – Film Critic, Sumant Batra – Founder of Kumaon Literary Festival, and Aditya Nath Mubayi – Quiz Master.  The two-hour long exciting journey was as entertaining as the 14 reels family drama of a Bollywood blockbuster that comprises all elements of wholesome entertainment.

At the successful ending of this blissful journey Mr. Sumant Batra – Founder of Kumaon Literary Festival said, “There is a great connection between Bollywood and literature. People like Bimal Roy, Guru Dutt, K. A. Abbas and Gulzar always tried to familiarise the work of the literary figures like Prem Chand and Tagore with the masses of India through cinema. The fusion of Literature and Cinema always produce a great work and a healthy entertainment. Kumaon Literary Festival is committed to raising the bars in the field of literature and promoting the emerging talent that aid in cultural progress and social consciousness of communities, and are essential indicators for measuring the happiness quotient, growth and success of its members.”
