Mrs. India 2015 Queen of Substance Priyanka Khurana Goyal supports ‘Back To The Front’, an initiative for Women Empowerment

Mumbai 4th July 2015: ‘Back To The Front’ (BTTF)  recently hosted, ‘ Konnect 2015 – an Opportunities Event’ at Phoenix Market City Mall in Mumbai with a participation of over  10,000 women. Konnect 2015 is an initiative by People Konnect that propagates the cause of women discovering self worth through becoming financially independent. Mrs. India 2015 Queen of Substance Priyanka Khurana Goyal graced the event and lent  her support to this worthwhile cause.

BTTF had put up stalls that offered employment opportunities to women for careers or venture led initiatives such as franchising or project funding. The event hosted ,   panel discussions,  workshops by entrepreneurs and  women-centric performances.  Mrs. India 2015 Priyanka Khurana Goyal was seen giving valuable insights during the panel discussion  with other prominent personalities like  Apurva Purohit, Devita Saraf, Mahabanoo Kotwal, Sujaya Banerjee and Aditi Mittal.

BTTF motivates women at home to explore careers not just through full time jobs, but through other means such as flexi-jobs, or entrepreneurial ventures. BTTF is platform for women to meet each other & help each other. Over time, this has gathered momentum & has  virtually become a movement with Women Influencers pushing the agenda for Women.

Priyanka won the Mrs. India Queen of Substance pageant in February 2015. She is the first investment banker to win this pageant. A wife, mother & working professional, Priyanka decided to take a step forward and work towards empowering & encouraging other married women in India to take up innovative work. To do this Priyanka took part in the prestigious Mrs. India, Queen of Substance pageant organized by the Handicapped Children and Women’s Aid (HWCA). After successfully gunning through 7 rounds of qualification, Priyanka beat 24 other contestants to be crowned “Mrs. India, Queen of Substance”. Priyanka is currently working with various initiatives and NGOs for Nature conservation, women empowerment and children welfare. This exercise will help her represent the truest identity of India at the Mrs. Earth, Queen of Substance title in Jamaica this October.
