Pune, India and Santa Clara, CA – February 18, 2013: Persistent Systems (BSE & NSE: PERSISTENT), the global leader in software product and technology services, today announced a key addition to its executive leadership team with the appointment of Mr. Mritunjay Singh as the Joint Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Singh will be responsible for managing the operations of the Company and will work alongside Nitin Kulkarni, Executive Director and COO. He will be based in Pune.
With deep experience in the software development and technology services industry, Mr. Singh joins Persistent Systems from Infosys, where he was the Delivery Head for the Financial Services and Insurance Application Development and Maintenance Unit and the Head of Infosys Pune Development Center.

Mr. Singh holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications from IIT BHU, Varanasi. He led the Hinjawadi Industry Association in Pune for many years as its President, working very closely with the state and local government to bring about systemic development to the high-tech area.
