Sparkling Fashion Show Concluded Fashionista Fashion Festival 2014

New Delhi 3rd June 2014: Fashionista, The School of Fashion Technology, has organized its annual Fashionista Fashion Festival 2014 in the premises of Dilli Haat, INA on Tuesday evening. Fashionista, which is a premier institute providing education in fashion technology, is also the biggest ever fashion school of the industry. The event had a grand opening witnessed by celebrities like Reynu Tandon, Vandy Mehra and many more.  The fashion show was anchored by famous model, dancer, actor and anchor Shivani Wazir who amazed the audience with her great presence of mind.

The themes of the garments designed by the students were GOLDEN PARADISE– depicting the beauty of the colour gold with beautiful floral arrangements using brief silhouettes in combination with Velvet, Net, Lycra and Zari. MELANGE- spreading the brightness of florescent color on the ramp with free flowing garments innovatively laid and draped in net and georgette and accessorized with beads and pearls. DARK SHADOW– structured garments depicting the mystery of night with the use of Velvet, Rexin and Net to enhance the beauty of the color black. SIN CITY– sinful garments designed on the purest color white. The garments were made using Fur, Net, Lycra and Feathers. These ostentatious garments were accessorized with Swarovski.

 

The talented interior design students showcased their talent by decorating the stage with elegant flowers to spread the beauty of the nature in the event. The ramp was decorated keeping in mind the theme BLISSFULL PETALS. The audience and the guests appreciated the work of the interior design students. The most prestigious award was the Budding Designer Award.

 

The students were awarded with the budding designer award after intensive review of the designs created by the entire batch of students. They toil relentlessly on the design concept and eventually demonstrated their surpassed creativity to qualify for the same. The students who were awarded as the budding designers were- Harneet Kaur, Trisha and Shalini Bath.

 

On the occasion, Ms. Neetu Pavan Manikatalia, MD, Fashionista said, “At Fashionista, we want students to get maximum exposure of the industry during studies. The concept of starting this event came from that thinking only. We want students to get best of the industry knowledge from us and apply it as per their expertise in the field so that they will make theirs as well as ours name bright. Year after year, this event is turning up as a great stage for budding designers to showcase their creativity and work with experienced people from fashion fraternity.”   

 

The event was also graced by Page 3 regulars from fashion fraternity who judged the creation done by the students. Reynu Tandon, fashion designer and owner of Mynah designs present at the event said, “Fashionista is providing a great platform to the budding designers. I have attended this event in the past too and loved the amazing understanding of students about their themes.”

 

Vandy Mehra, Group Director- Pret Study by Janak Fashions Pvt. Ltd was also present at the event said, “These events are helping students to understand the working of industry during their studies only.”

 

Students were awarded in different categories at the event which were:

·         Best academic student 2014 – Vashvi and Nitesh

·         Best student 2014 – Yoshitchhabra, Rahul kumar, Poojachoudhary

The event was a success and the designs of the students and their hard work was appreciated and they were applauded for their work.
