About NMSA:

“Nisha swam competitively for 15 years at the highest level culminating in her representing India at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She is the first Indian swimmer to Qualify for the Olympics. After a highly successful career, Nisha quit swimming in 2004. Although she was getting ready to retire, Nisha still stayed in touch with the coaching side of the sport. She did this to supplement her income to pay for her expenses as a swimmer and in doing so, she stumbled across another new found passion: Becoming a swim coach.

Nisha had a bad experience with water when she was just 5 years old. She almost drowned at a family vacation leading her to be hydrophobic till she was 9. Slowly and gradually, she was encouraged to get into the water and was taught to swim. This incident prompted her to begin her own academy, Nisha Millet Swimming Academy, where the goal is to teach swimming correctly and let the kids/adults enjoy the water more than anything. To do the same, Nisha has accomplished another milestone. She is an AUSTSWIM Teacher and Presenter of Swimming and Water Safety across India.

Finally, NMSA wants to ensure that their clients not just learn how to swim, but also learn life skills from their classes and lessons. Characteristics such as team work, confidence, time management and hard work to name a few are highly encouraged and rewarded in the academy. Nisha, a mother of twin girls, strongly reiterates that kids need to spend their time and energy constructively rather than stay indoors all day.

The above mentioned philosophy coupled with the influence of India best ever Female Swimmer is definitely a recipe for success. Rightly so, NMSA is undoubtedly Bangalore’s best Learn to Swim academy for adults and kids.
