thyssenkrupp wins major service order in Germany for nearly 20,000 automatic doors of the Federal Employment Agency

thyssenkrupp

  • Full service for automatic doors in the agency’s buildings
  • A four-year contract valued at over two million euros
  • Biggest door-related order of its kind for the German company

The Federal Employment Agency in Germany has chosen thyssenkrupp Elevator to service a total of 19,687 of its automatic doors, fire doors, hold-open mechanisms and gate systems for a period of four years; this contract represents the biggest door-related order ever received by thyssenkrupp in Germany.

The excellent support provided by the elevator division and its service branches was a key factor in the decision to place the order with thyssenkrupp. In the federal states of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg alone, thyssenkrupp is responsible for the servicing of over 350 elevator systems belonging to the Federal Employment Agency.

Further arguments in favor of thyssenkrupp were the economic efficiency, the company’s service concept, its nationwide service network, as well as its customer portal, which the Agency will soon be using. For Dr. Oliver Tietze, head of the elevator business in Europe and Africa, this order also works as a starting point for further projects: “Our comprehensive maintenance network was responsible for the Federal Employment Agency’s recent decision, underlining our focus on providing an excellent service and our customer’s satisfaction.”
