Combining Swiss watchmaking traditions with refined design, the Ambassador Collection embodies the values of quality, reliability and timelessness cherished by the Seculus brand, of which – as implied by its name – the finest ambassador. Equipped with an automatic movement beating at its heart, it celebrates Swiss precision to impart a steady cadence to a vision of time that will find its way through passing eras and appeal to future generations. Happy Sport Medium Automatic Two Tone

In 1993, Caroline Scheufele dreamed up one of the most fascinating jewellery innovations in recent decades. With its famous moving diamonds dancing across the dial, the Happy Sport rapidly established itself as a Chopard icon. It has been interpreted over the years through countless evocative identities, sometimes with humour and consistently with elegance. For its 20th anniversary in 2013, it added a mechanical dimension to its bewitching charm. Chopard now introduces a new two-tone setting for this automatic movement, featuring a case and a bracelet creating extremely refined contrasts between steel and pink gold. Meanwhile, in keeping with the “Happy Sport” spirit, seven diamonds twirl freely across the silver-toned dial

Patravi ScubaTec

Introduced in 2014, the Patravi ScubaTec returns in a new execution that matches the functional design of a dive watch with the glimmer of pink gold for the case. A focal point of this uniquely seductive timepiece is the blue and black ceramic that circles the bezel. The dial, meanwhile, is finished with a pattern of scales that reflect the light, much like the shimmer on the surface of the waves. The Patravi ScubaTec is, of course, at home underwater where it makes the perfect diving buddy for deep-sea exploration, thanks to its 500-metres water resistance. The chronometer-certified movement tracks time with constant precision and reliability while the helium valve automatically depressurises to prevent damage to the case. The unidirectional rotating bezel guarantees optimal security even if the bezel is accidentally knocked. Luminescent hour-markers remain perfectly legible even in murky underwater conditions. The sturdy rubber strap can be adjusted to wear over a diving suit.

i_3182_1SPEAKE-MARIN

Velsheda

Nautically inspired, the Velsheda watch is named after the “J Class” yacht that was built in the 1930s and is still racing today. While the Piccadilly case suggests early marine chronometers, it is the dial that first captures our attention. Featuring a single blued steel hand that extends across its entire diameter, it is the backdrop for the fascinating optical effect of two superimposed topping tool motifs, the Speake-Marin logo, rotating at different speeds. Counter-balanced at one end by a pointer and at the other by an arc, this hand creates a compass aesthetic that is accentuated by the fine, five-minute graduations around the peripheral chapter ring… an invitation to take to the seas.

This year, the Gran Celtica™ SuperSportS automatic chronograph comes in a distinctly dressier version. The motorsports inspiration remains clearly visible, backed by the longstanding racetrack experience acquired by skilled driver Philippe Charriol. This racing spirit is expressed through original elements such as the guilloché sunray-brushed silver-toned dial, colourful hour-markers, the turbine-wheel small seconds resembling a racing-car wheel, as well as the black rubber-clad crown. Challenger Deep

At a depth of 10,916 metres, the Challenger Deep is the deepest known spot beneath the oceans. On January 23rd 1960, Swiss explorer Jacques Piccard and US Navy Lieutenant Don Walsh reached it for the very first time aboard the Trieste bathyscaphe. In tribute to this spectacular feat, Emile Chouriet has named its first sports watch “Challenger Deep”. This timepiece combining functionality and aesthetic is capable of plunging to a depth of 300 metres. Its SuperLuminova-enhanced hands and hour-markers emit a green light in a dark environment, while its rotating bezel comes in steel or black or blue ceramic. Smart 6940PM

In 1886, the first watches to bear the Mathey-Tissot name left the tranquil village of Les Ponts-de-Martel in the Swiss Jura mountains and set out to seduce admirers of finely crafted timepieces around the world. Smart, the latest piece from the Mathey-Tissot ateliers, which are now located in the canton of Ticino, carries on this tradition. The elegant cushion-shaped case with its pink gold-plating exudes classic style tinted with modernity while the dial, in a chocolate-brown hue, eschews excess. The elongated hour-markers add a note of subdued elegance while ensuring time can be read at a glance. The date is shown in a window at 6 o’clock.
