YouGov poll results on Green Technology is now ready!

yougovGreen Technology has always been one of the key items in the government agenda and this December, countries from around the world, will meet in France to discuss how they can work together to reduce emissions of gases that cause climate change.

 

YouGov, as the global leading online polling and survey firm, has also conducted an online poll recently to investigate how people in Asia Pacific know about Green Technology, whether they think the government is ready to implement Green Technology, and what are the most prominent environment issue in their country.

 

Key findings from the YouGov poll :-

  • “Waste Management” is considered the most prominent environmental issue to the people of Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia; Meanwhile, those in Hong Kong, China and Australia believe “Pollution” to be the greater concern.
  • 88% of Asians know what Green Technology is but majority of them (61%) only know a little about it.
  • The Green Technologies that Asians have implemented the most are Waste Management (28%) (i.e. Recycling, reduce, reuse) and usage of Eco-Friendly Product (21%) (i.e. Biodegradable Products, Recycled Product).
  • 93% of Asians believe that Green Technology can help solve climate change/ global warming problems, but half of them (50%) think that it is of limited effect
