The startup now plans to bring Tech Play and get into B2B Applications for Fashion Weeks and organizers. “To conduct a Fashion Week it takes a minimum of three months and a lot of coordination between multiple teams. During a Fashion Week, we see thousands of visitors in shows which gives us immense opportunity to bring in Technology to have better coordination, planning and guest management” says Co-founder, Amit Bhardwaj. They have already signed on three clients who will be using the Fashion Week Ops App for their upcoming season.
6Degree started as a pure online market place for Fashion Talent but the founders soon realized that the Fashion world needs a lot of offline hand holding and thus pivoted their business model to Offline + Online. “While we understand the importance of tech play in the startup ecosystem, we quickly realized that the fashion sector needs to be present in an offline and online space simultaneously. Hence, we added an offline element through fashion week associations that perfectly complimented our online offerings for fashion professionals. The new addition in our business model saw company revenues surpass the ₹1 Crore mark in just 7 months. We also achieved a major milestone by becoming the only company to bring Fashion Designers in India’s top fashion week – Lakme Fashion Week as a Talent partner” highlights co-founder Nikhil Hegde.
Last year they raised seed round from Centre for Incubation and Business Acceleration(CIBA) a Department Of Science & Technology backed incubation centre.
After covering good ground and generating most of their revenue from offline business, now the founders are focused on using technology to help their startup scale and enable the fashion world to be more connected.
