Over 798 Students receive degrees at annual convocation of ITM University, Gurgaon

Gurgaon, Dec , 2014: An atmosphere of pride enveloped ITM University, Gurgaon when students gathered today at their alma mater for the annual convocation ceremony with a deep sense of fulfillment and achievement on having successfully completed their crucial educational journey.

 

Ecstatic students cheered to be back in the familiar settings, meeting their friends and professors and recalling the days they spent in the varsity. Among the students who were awarded degrees today were 577 B Tech pass outs, 133 M Tech, 43 MBA, 2 LLM and 43 from BBA stream.

 

The function was presided over by Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Dr Karan Singh, who as the chief guest wished the students good luck and asked them to take on the challenges with vigour.

 

Speaking at the occasion, Prof BS Panwar, Vice Chancellor of the ITM University lauded the achievement of the students. “It is a proud moment for the University to see our students graduating and preparing themselves to make a mark in the professional world. What they have been taught here, now they can step outside and apply that knowledge practically. We wish our students create a niche for themselves and take the institute’s name to greater heights,” said the proud Vice Chancellor.

 

The ceremony was a spectacular show with students from all the three schools of the University participating in the degree-distribution ceremony. Of the total students, 58 passed with distinction. The toppers in each discipline were awarded medals and Certificates of Excellence.

 

A total of 10 students received Gold medals, 8 Silver and 8 Bronze.  In the MTech department, 5 medals each were distributed in Gold, Silver and Bronze category. In the BTech department, 5 medals were given – 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. Three medals each were given to students from MBA and BBA departments. Also, nine students received ITMU Scholar Awards.

 

After the degree distribution ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor unveiled the Annual Report of the University, highlighting the achievements and progress made by the University during the year.
