Steelmaker in Taiwan orders bar-in-coil line from Siemens – New line will broaden product portfolio

Siemens Metals Technologies has received an order from Wei Chih Steel Industry Co. Ltd. (Wei Chih), Taiwan, to supply a new rolling line for bar-in-coil. The line will be constructed in the company’s bar mill in Tainan and is scheduled to go on stream at the end of 2013. This will enable Wei Chih to expand its product portfolio to include high-quality ring material with excellent surface properties and low tolerances.
