Mumbai – 4th October 2013: Brown Forman India culminates the month long birthday celebrations of Mr Jack at The Lazy Dog bar, India Bulls Finance centre in Mumbai. Jack Daniels was born in September but no one knows the exact date of Mr Jack’s birthday, (since the records were burnt in a court house fire) it is celebrated the whole month to ensure each day is a gala day and the real date is not missed. The grand birthday party of Mr Jack this year is being hosted by Mr Amrit Kiran Singh & Mr Sheetal Vinod Talwar as they raise a toast to this wonderful man.
Thousands of Jack consumers join the celebration and also participate in the competition to win a Harley Davidson dream motorcycle. Spreading joie d’vivre across the four corners of the Indian sub-continent, Jack Daniels tied up with bars and Duty Free shops in cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Chandigarh and Lucknow to flag off a very special lucky draw inviting its patrons to test their fortune by enjoying their JD on the rocks at a bar next door. About the legendary, Jack Daniel:
Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel was born in September 1850 though the exact date is not known. He was one of thirteen children to Callaway Daniel and his mother Lucinda Cook. Jack Daniel’s grandfather, Joseph “Job” Daniel emigrated from England as did his Scottish wife to the United States. He was of Scots-Irish and Scottish descent.
