Pittsburgh, PA, November 20, 2013 – Tenova Core has recently completed design, supply and installation of a new 26 ton car bottom furnace for plate heat treating at JSW’s Baytown, Texas plant. The furnace was installed as part of a plant expansion and can normalize plate sized up to 720” in length, 160” width and 5 5/8” thickness.
The energy efficient furnace features a state-of-the-art top and bottom fired combustion system for superior product uniformity. The furnace also features a double car design for a high production capacity as well as product processing flexibility. Tenova Core also designed and supplied the complete advanced process control system.
