More than two months away from its opening, the launch edition of Heimtextil India, the country’s leading trade fair for Home and Contract textiles, has garnered tremendous response both from exhibitors and potential trade visitors, and is completely sold out.
Leading industry players like D’Decor Home Fabrics Pvt. Ltd, Dicitex Furnishings, Dimora Furnishings, Birla Century, Portico New York, Reliance Industries Ltd and many others have confirmed their participation, and are eagerly waiting to present their collections at Heimtextil India, where next season’s Home fashion and textile trends are exhibited before they even reach the stores. “Heimtextil is globally identified as the go-to destination to spot international trends in the Home and contract textiles market; and with the overwhelming response we have received for the 2014 edition of Heimtextil India, we can say that the show is ready to present designs, trends and solutions that will put India on the global map”, shared Mr Raj Manek, Managing Director, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India.

Moreover, the 2014 edition has strong support from the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), who believe it will be a perfect platform for interior designers, architects and retail chains looking at sourcing new products in the home furnishing and textile market. The most innovative applications across an array of product categories, such as bedroom, bath linen, table linen, kitchen textiles, window decorations, furniture fabric salon, textile floor coverings, walls of the world and design & technology will be on display.

South Asia Digital Textile Conference to highlight developments in Digital Fabric Printing
Another major development in the field of home furnishings and textiles which will be covered at Heimtextil India is Digital Fabric Printing. Industry experts claim digital printing accounts for nearly one per cent of the global market for printed textiles, and is set to expand its share to as much as 10 per cent in the next five years#. Not only does this open up innumerable opportunities for textile and furnishing brands, it enables experimentation and customisation at ground budget levels. To allow industry professionals to understand the creative and commercial aspects of digital textile printing as well as chart the roadmap for this sector, Heimtextil India will host the South Asia Digital Textile Conference.
The one-day conference will see industry leaders come together to discuss international trends and recent developments as well as notable brands like Hewlett-Packard and Urban Monsoon Design Studio will present the technology behind Digital Fabric Printing.
Heimtextil is a part of the Messe Frankfurt Texpertise Network which is a combination of the world’s most important textile trade fairs. Spread across 5,000 sqm and scheduled alongside Ambiente India, another major international property for the Home Décor segment, Heimtextil is expected to welcome leading manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and designers along with institutional buyers, sourcing houses, as well as large and standalone retail outlets as trade visitors, and ‘exhibits’ a positive outlook for a very successful edition of the show. The trade fair will be held from 19 – 21 June at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi.
