Jeddah’s leading luxury hotel to immerse guests in the Saudi culture during the Holy Month
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 27 May, 2014: Saudi Arabia’s leading luxury hotel, Rosewood Corniche, is planning a unique Ramadan experience for guests, placing the culture and cuisine of Hijaz at its heart.
The multi award-winning hotel is adopting a strong Hijazi theme as it looks to immerse visitors in Saudi culture and heritage, transporting them into a world of charm and opulence during Iftar and Sohour.
At Habsburg and Noodles, staff wearing traditional Hijazi dress will welcome diners with Zamzam water, a traditional offering in Jeddah during the Holy Month.
For Iftar, the hotel’s main two restaurants will feature delicious buffets of authentic Hijazi cuisine such as gursan, jeraish, mento, lamb kabsa, and yaghmosh, along with traditional Arabic delights.
For Sohour, Habsburg will serve up a range of live cooking stations featuring international and local dishes such as saj, shawarma, lamb and beef liver, egg omelettes, and foul madamas.
A pure Hijazi style will dominate Habsburg and Noodles venues, offering Ramadan diners a typical experience of the ancient city of Hijaz, where they will be surrounded by colourful Fanous lanterns, Mashrabiya windows and traditional handicrafts.
“Ramadan is the month of sharing and we’re offering the perfect setting for our guests to share special moments and delicious food with family and friends,” said Hans-Peter Leitzke, Managing Director of Rosewood Corniche.
“Breaking the fast in a pure Hijazi atmosphere while enjoying the stunning views of Jeddah’s Corniche is part of a unique experience they can look forward to.”
The hotel is offering two Iftar choices at SR300 (Habsburg) and SR 285 (Noodles) per person, while Habsburg’ Sohour option is at SR265 per person. Ramadan meals are inclusive of imported water, a soft drink, Arabic coffee and Ramadan juices.
Maurizio Panicali, Executive Chef at Rosewood Corniche, said: “The multicultural aspect of our culinary team will definitely be reflected in the cuisine offered to Ramadan diners this year.
