The essence of Swissness and the elegance of sports
Inspired by an Alpiner automatic model from the 1950’s, the contemporary Alpiner line embodies the concept of Swissness to the fullest. It features the clean lines, essential dial design, and the intrinsic quality, reliability and finishes that distinguish the Swiss Manufacture – which invented the modern sports watch in 1938 – since more than 130 years.
The Alpiner line is the essential timepiece for the gentleman “alpinist” who values understated elegance but does not want to compromise on intrinsic watchmaking content. The combination of the “glass box” sapphire crystal, which today substitutes the hesalite version of the past century, and the dome shaped sunray finish dial with a clear cut case and lugs, give the Alpiner watches their unique classic, yet contemporary look. The 3-link bracelet contributes further to this unique combination of elegance and performance.
The back of the 41.5mm case features the engraving of the iconic Alpina “3 summits” symbol, representing the Jungfrau, the Monch and the Eiger. The Alpine brand signature since 1883.
Alpiner Automatic (AL-525)
The Alpiner Automatic encases the AL-525 automatic 3 hands date movement. It has a diameter of 41.5 mm and comes in 3 sunray finished dial colours: silvered, black and grey with rose gold coloured indexes and numerals. The dome shaped dial under the antireflective treated “Glass Box” sapphire crystal, features applied indexes and numerals as well as thirteen superluminova dots. The Alpiner Automatic comes in stainless steel and in, bi-colour, stainless steel yellow PVD coated versions, and offers a choice between in genuine leather or stainless steel bracelet.
Alpiner Automatic Chronograph (AL-750)
Engineered with the same principles and designed with the same codes as the Alpiner Automatic, the Alpiner Automatic Chronograph encases the AL-750 chronograph movement and features a telemeter scale on the dial for time-distance calculations. The Alpiner Automatic Chronograph comes in 4 dial variants: silvered, silvered with grey “eyes”, black and grey with rose gold coloured indexes and numerals. To the 41.5mm stainless steel case both a genuine leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet can be matched.
About Alpina
ALPINA, THE ORIGINAL SWISS SPORT WATCH
ALPINE SPORTS WATCH MANUFACTURING – SINCE 1883
Alpina, famous for its red triangle signature, is an independent, family-owned fine watchmaking manufacture based in Geneva, Switzerland. Founded in 1883, Alpina’s watchmaking history spans more than 130 years.
A true pioneer of the Swiss watchmaking industry, Alpina has been the source of numerous innovations, patents, calibers and chronometers. Alpina invented the concept of the sport watch, as we know it today, with the birth of its legendary Alpina 4 in 1938.
Faithful to its long tradition of creating mechanical calibers, Alpina manufactures, in its Geneva-based Manufacture, four in-house movements in-house: the Tourbillon AL-980, the World Timer AL-718, the Automatic Regulator AL-950 and the Small Date Automatic AL-710.
Alpina’s mission is to design and engineer luxury sport watches that operate with the greatest precision and reliability possible in the most demanding sporting environments, like the Alps.
