Nasik, July 6, 2014: Sula Vineyards are very pleased to announce the opening of SOLEIL by La Plage at their vineyards. This outpost of the famous La Plage restaurant in North Goa takes the culinary offering at Sula to another level.
The French trio behind La Plage, Morgan Rainforth, Florence Tarbouriech, and Serge Lozano, have created a space so beautiful and charming that diners should be warned that they will find it very difficult to leave, lunches might become three-hour affairs overflowing with amazing food, wine and conversation.
The opening of this restaurant saw several of Sula’s friends and supporters sharing their enthusiasm for the newest addition to the vineyards as well as indulging the exquisite fare that Soleil has to offer. The guests were also given a VIP tour of the sparkling cellars and an exclusive tasting of the new released Chenin Blanc Reserve 2013.
Among those present at this lovely Sunday afternoon were Sula’s Master Winemaker Kerry Damskey and Global Brand Ambassador Cecilia Oldne, Narendra Kumar, Anil Chopra, Mona Juneja, Prahlad and Mitali Kakkar, Jamal and Pravina Mecklai, Pervez Damania, Abhishek Kapoor and Nell Freudenberger to name a few.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajeev Samant, Founder and CEO of Sula, said, “Five years ago I had a dream that I would have La Plage at Sula, it took me 3 years to persuade them. Finally the dream came through, and now we have taken things to the next level as we always do at Sula.”
Soleil’s unique menu includes classic French dishes including the most popular ones from La Plage, along-with Chef Morgan’s take on classics of Indian cuisine. A defining feature of the menu is the extensive use of the farm’s own organic produce with ingredients like asparagus, goat’s cheese, free range chicken and much more.
SOLEIL thus presents for the first time a true “farm to fork” dining experience in India.
