A brand new design was unveiled on New Years’ Eve, keeping step with the latest design philosophy of utilitarian minimalism. The sleek new design of Magicbricks.com is particularly evident on its Home Page, Search Page, Property Detail Page, Project Detail Page and Agent Directory.
The Home Page has been cleverly redesigned to guide the user to perform key actions upfront. Search has also been redone with intelligent selection of search fields; there is also a simple, single search box to search city, locality or project.
The Search Page has been q restructured to make results quicker to scan and choose. It now includes new save and report features, contact forms and “refine result” filters. Listings already seen and contacted are greyed out in the results so that the user can focus on other listings.
The Property Detail Page has been redesigned, replacing the old tabbed-view with a new scroll-view. This gives prominence to photos, location, contact and comments. The popular Magicbricks price-trend graphs and comparison with nearby localities have also been improved.
New Project Pages also feature the new scroll-view and an interactive comments section for users to discuss the project. Construction Updates allow users to stay abreast with latest developments. A new “Follow a Project” feature allows users to receive development news and participate in user discussions. Project Rating is now calculated to allow users compare projects – more than 20 parameters are taken into consideration to derive the project rating.
