Geneva, Switzerland 17 January 2015 – The Global Shapers Community is connecting 40 cities around the world on 10 key issues through live, interactive webcast sessions at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2015 in Davos-Klosters. The sessions aim to advance the agenda on key global issues and will be webcast live at www.shapingdavos.org between Monday 19 January and Saturday 24 January.

- Disrupting Classrooms (Monday 19 January, 15.15 – 16.30)
- Governance in Social Media: Who Owns the Internet? (Monday 19 January, 18.45 – 20.00)
- Bringing Sustainability to the Masses (Tuesday 20 January, 13.15 – 14.30)
- From Ideas to Action: Business Model Innovations (Tuesday 20 January, 15.45 – 17.00)
- Art as a Catalyst for Social Change (Tuesday 20 January, 20.15 – 21.30)
- Religion: A Pretext for Conflict? (Wednesday 21 January, 12.30 – 14.00)
- Engaging Youth in Work (Thursday 22 January, 14.45 – 16.00)
- Rethinking Politics (Friday 23 January, 15.00 – 16.15)
- Conflict Resolution (Saturday 24 January, 11.00 – 12.15)
Shaping Davos is a conversation that features local solutions to global issues. The session on conflict resolution will include live broadcasts from Gaza, Juba, Colombo and San Salvador, while Art as a Catalyst for Social Change has live participation from Rome, Kingston, Palo Alto and Monterrey. Each session will be explored with the help of a moderator and a panel in Davos. The 10 topics are related to the theme of the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting 2015, The New Global Context.

The Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, is a network of over 400 city-based Hubs around the world. Global Shapers are young leaders between the ages of 20-30 who self-organize to make an impact in their local communities. Hubs hosting Shaping Davos sessions have been selected based on local expertise, location and the quality of their proposed event. Also taking part in the events will be key city/community stakeholders, such as mayors, prominent social activists, Forum communities and representatives from civil society.
Global Shapers have also created Talking Davos, a series of live wrap-up sessions that will provide behind-the-scenes access to what is taking place in Davos. Each day a selection of high-profile guests will join representatives of the community on the Talking Davos couch for a casual, no-ties-allowed discussion on the issues of the day.
