International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) Asian FUE Hair Transplant Workshop 2015 held in India for the first time with AK Clinics as Clinic Sponsor

New Delhi, March,02, 2015: Dr. Kapil Dua and Dr. Aman Dua, Founders and Directors of AK Clinics, and Program Directors for the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) Asian FUE Hair Transplant Workshop organized  a three day workshop in New Delhi from February 27 to March 1, 2015.  The program was spread across Eros Hotel New Delhi, Nehru Place, where the lectures were held and AK Clinics at Greater Kailash – I, which hosted the live surgeries. The workshop was clearly aimed at ‘raising the bar in FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction)’.  It covered almost every aspect of the Hair Transplant surgery using FUE method for donor harvesting. This workshop covered everything including, but not limited to, extraction, implantation, slit making, instruments, storage medium, complications, pros & cons of the technique.

Talking about bringing the workshop to India, Dr. Sharon A. The program comprised of didactic lectures covering all the aspects from the basics to different techniques to complications of FUE. The workshop  provided a platform which will encompass identifying the key steps of FUE as a mode of extraction, evaluating the different techniques and instrumentation used in FUE to achieve better results, identifying the factors limiting the speed of extraction and ways to increase it, identifying the causes of Follicular Transection Rate (FTR) and lower it, evaluating the differences in Revision Hair Transplant by FUE and applying them into practice, identifying the key points of Body Hair Transplant and increasing the number of grafts in FUE, identifying possible complications in the donor & recipient area from FUE and evaluating Strip & FUE Techniques for donor harvesting.
