A series of dialogues with iconic women achievers.
Gul Panag and Swaty Malik, flag off series.
New Delhi, May 6, 2015: Zoya, the chain of exquisite diamond boutiques from the House of Tata, celebrates “The Spirit of the Zoya Woman”, a series of conversations over coffee, with iconic women achievers who exemplify the brand’s approach to Zoya’s creations.
The first conversation takes place with actor-activist, adventurer and fitness icon Gul Panag, who is fast emerging as one of India’s most powerful opinion makers and thought leaders. A front line advocate for women’s issues and gender equality, Gul is without doubt one of the most influential people on social media today.
The warm intimate afternoon saw guests and media interacting with the speakers, and appreciating Zoya’s fine jewellery, and magnificent collections while enjoying a wonderful high tea with canapés, white tea, vol au vents and more. The freewheeling conversation ran over travel, adventure, fashion and fitness. Adding more celebrity flavor to the conversation on fitness was Olympian swimmer and Arjuna Awardee, Rehan Poncha.
Said Gul, “I love Zoya’s jewellery. It’s lovely and very unique. Each piece is inspired by a particular theme and stands apart. I think this event also reflects Zoya’s brand values, and is a great initiative. I am delighted to flag off this series of coffee and conversation for the brand, that celebrates the unique spirit that defines a person – that one of a kind beauty, creativity, adventure, strength…so much more.”
Gul and Swaty recently completed a very adventurous, girls only, off-roading trip across the stunning Leh-Laddakh area, in a modified Scorpio, going into areas, never before seen on film. The very engaging trip was made into a three-part documentary, beating all myths about women drivers, and is now showing on a leading infotainment channel.
Speaking on the occasion, Arif Padiath, Senior Manager and Business Head, Zoya said, “Zoya Jewelry is crafted to inspire. The Zoya woman who is a connoisseur appreciates the unique inspiration behind every exquisite Zoya piece. Craftsmen at Zoya create jewelry as beautiful, rare and precious as the women who adorns them. We feel honoured to have Gul Panag with us. A versatile performer, and an iconic woman achiever, she symbolizes the woman of today and showcases the depth of the Zoya woman.”

It is both a product and a retail brand and is targeted at the discerning, design seeking woman who is international in her aspiration. The store deals in exquisite styled ranges, primarily in diamonds, apart from the traditional and fusion polki & kundan jewellery besides providing an unmatchable buying experience. The store showcases luxury in its most undiluted form. Zoya is not merely a jewellery store but a dazzling gallery of fine art, where indulgence comes alive in fine designs of gold, diamonds and precious stones. Creating a new setting, form and design for diamonds, Zoya contemporarizes famed and iconographic design sensibility interpreting it traditionally and fashionably.
ABOUT GUL PANAG: Gul is an actor, adventurer, activist, fitness icon, and so much more. She is well known as a front line advocate for issues of gender equality and gender justice. Gul has recently turned producer, collaborating on the production of a show that chronicles her travels across Leh Laddakh in a car she has had specifically modified for adventure travel to include features like higher ground clearance, thicker tyres, a back that converts to a tent, a 100 litres water storage tank and more!
