Huawei P8 Wins Record-high Global Coverage from London Launch

 

BANGKOK, May 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Huawei continues to reach record high this year, as its most recent smartphone P8 is met with record high global coverage. The launch, which took place in London in April and was streamed live online for the global audience, introduced the world to Huawei’s latest smartphone in the P series. A total audience of 600,000 was recorded on YouTube and iQIYI, an online video platform in China .

From insiders’ point of view, P8 is seen as a smartphone revolution, positioned above Samsung S6 by top-tier global technology media. Real users’ viewpoints were reflected in more than 200 unboxing videos, which generated over 1 million views in two weeks, spreading the positive key messages about Huawei P8 globally.

Within the first two weeks of the launch, P8 has already won six awards in European media. BBC in the UK, for instance, noted that “The P8 has the most high quality camera.” This proves Huawei’s strength in the European market, which is gaining momentum after last year’s prestigious award  the European Consumer Smartphone 2014 – 2015 award by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA), presented to its Ascend P7 model.

So far, the total coverage volume of P8 increased by 56% compared to the P7 launch in May last year. However, the coverage of P8 is yet to be concluded, as there will be regional launches of P8 in the near future. One of the key events is the Southeast Asia launch of P8 and other wearable devices by Huawei, which will take place on May 28 in Bangkok, Thailand .

“On May 28 , P8 and wearable devices will be launched in Southeast Asia .
