Mumbai, 18th June, 2015 – The websites for the resort of Davos Klosters, davos.ch and klosters.ch, have undergone a complete makeover. The full versions of the websites have been available since the end of May. Alongside the “Get Inspired” function, the website has now also been optimised for mobile devices. The website was produced together with SPOT Werbung AG.
The Davos Klosters resort website is regularly updated, with the focus always on its user-friendliness, relevance of the content and the booking of holiday experiences. The relaunch of davos.ch and klosters.ch aims to address and inform guests in a more individual and personal manner. The website has also been redesigned to become more sales-orientated. The differentiated homepages of the two resorts of
Davos and Klosters represent a key new feature of the website. Visitors will be shown specific content and suggested bookings in Davos or Klosters depending on the internet address they type in (davos.ch / klosters.ch). The two homepages feature large images and direct links to booking options.
Get Inspired! – Find your experiences
“It is becoming increasingly important to address specific target groups regardless of their age,” explains Reto Branschi, CEO of Destination Davos Klosters. The new “Get inspired!” feature is intended to target visitors and locals more individually, according to their interests rather than their age. The profile of a user – consisting of the experience categories they have indicated a preference for – determines the inspirations that will be displayed. Users select between the categories “Adventure”, “Nature”, “Typical”, “Rest & Relaxation” and “Activities & Fun” to ensure that they are presented specific activities, offers news or events. There is also a filter enabling users to filter to find activities specifically for families or for disabled visitors. There is also an option to look specifically for activities that can also be experienced in poor weather to highlight to visitors the opportunities available in the resort in the event of bad weather. www.davos.ch/getinspired
Adapted for mobile devices
Studies have shown that internet users are increasingly using mobile devices to surf the web. The resort of Davos Klosters saw this finding as an opportunity to incorporate this behaviour when relaunching its website. The entire website has therefore been programmed in what is called “Responsive Design” (the latest adaptation to the mobile device used). This mechanism makes it more convenient to read content on smartphones and tablets without having to use the zoom function. At the same time, the arrangement of the menu and information bars have been adapted to today’s standards so that information and content can be found more easily.
