September 21, 2015, Beijing – To offer users more and better video experiences, Intel and Letv Cloud Computing Co., Ltd.* (“Letv Cloud”) announced at the Co-create Extraordinary “Chip” Ecology to Enjoy Remarkable Video Experience – Intel and Letv Global Strategic Cooperation Press Conference today they would carry out well-rounded, in-depth and long-lasting strategic cooperation on new trend of video development, new video industry solution, research on new video technology and so on in a bid to improve user experience and tap video value. Intel and Letv Cloud will launch in-depth cooperation at levels of technology, business and strategy and join hand to create new business cooperation model based on IA architecture to jointly build a complete new video pattern.
Make alliance to research and develop new video technology
H.265 is most advanced video coding technology for the time being, and most institutions and vendors are still in the stage of advanced research and laboratory research. Letv Cloud successfully industrializes and commercializes H.265 by standard development tracking and independent R&D. By optimizing video coding structure and algorithm and leveraging HLS\DASH technology Letv really realizes H.265 Internet transmission and playing as well as 720P transmission by 1Mbps, 1080P transmission by 2Mbps and 4k transmission by 4Mbps, and becomes the first all-process video cloud platform supporting 4K and H.265 in the world.
