Alpina Watches is pleased to introduce French FIS World Cup skier Victor Muffat-Jeandet as its new Brand Ambassador.
As a member of the technical World Cup group of the French National Team, Victor will start his new ski season at the first FIS World Cup race next October 25th in Sölden.
“We met Victor during the World Championship last February in Vail Colorado and we immediately became inspired by his personality and values. Victor perfectly embodies our Brand’s spirit and we are delighted to welcome him as our new Brand ambassador”, says Guido Benedini, CEO of Alpina Watches.
Victor Muffat-Jeandet and Alpina are united by their love for Alpine sports and the Alpine universe and identify with the same “Alpinist” values which both believe are the foundations for any sports, professional and personal success. These values are:
1. Independence
Victor: I always go my own way to achieve the best results. Maybe it’s not the most conventional, expected or recommended one, but it works for me.
Alpina: Alpina is a proudly independent watch brand, producing its own movements since 1883 and going its own way in marketing and design solutions.
2. Perseverance
Victor: with an incredible resolve and relentless training, Victor has become one of the best men skiers. Everything was earned with hard work and sweat.
Alpina: Outstanding watch and movement innovations, amongst which the invention of the modern sports watch in 1938, have been achieved by Alpina in its more than 130 years history by applying the greatest perseverance and focus on innovation and in business.
3. Heritage
Victor: Very attached to his roots and origins. Victor comes from a city skiing’s process, he was not born in the mountains and has had less facilities than some other skiers. He is today inspiring a lot of younger athletes and he shows to all of them that with perseverance and high level of training, the dream may become true.
Alpina: Embodies the Swiss watchmaking culture since more than a century and respects the Swiss way of working based on high intrinsic quality through handcraft, ultimate precision in processes, and the time and attention to detail required to produce watches, which are simply well made.
Victor and Alpina have concluded a comprehensive partnership, which previews advertising, PR and social media activities, linked to the Alpiner Collection that embodies the Swiss Alpine style and luxury sports.
Victor about the partnership “I am very happy about this partnership. Ski and watches require a high level of technical skills and need to be highly precise. The Brand offers sports timepieces with technical specifications absolutely useful in my sport: shockproof, waterproof, and high precision on the time. I also need a watch for tracking my activity and sleep and am very enthusiast with my new Horological Smartwatch”.
About Victor Muffat-Jeandet
Victor Muffat-Jeandet (born 5 March 1989) is a French World Cup alpine ski racer.
Born in Aix-les-Bains, Savoie in France, Muffat-Jeandet made his World Cup debut in February 2009 in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. Skier from Val d’Isère trained at his beginnings in Bonneval/Arc, Victor was initially coming from a city ski club, and was not necessarily predestined to become a ski Champion. Victor is passionate about sports from his youngest age, he’s tried many activities with his parents such as rock climbing, rugby or roller-skating, before starting the alpine skiing in competition, and for which he soon began to get involved.
Coming from a city club, his route until integrating the best French skiers has been long. He was first spotted and selected in different groups from the district committee reports, European Cup to finally his selection in the technical world cup group of the National Team in Spring 2012. Victor is racing in many disciplines like Slalom, Giant, and Combined and probably will soon race in all of them.
Alongside his daily implication in his preparing and sports training, he is also studying at the French University STAPS in Master degree.
Victor’s hobbies are reading, computers, travels, mountain biking, and wakeboarding on the Bourget Lake.
Rigorous, perseverant and perfectionist, he likes the work well done. He is highly demanding with himself and these requirements are bearing fruits season after season.

About Alpina
THE ORIGINAL SWISS SPORT WATCH
ALPINE SPORTS WATCH MANUFACTURING – SINCE 1883
Alpina, famous for its red triangle signature, is an independent, family-owned fine watchmaking manufacture based in Geneva, Switzerland. Founded in 1883, Alpina’s watchmaking history spans more than 130 years.
A true pioneer of the Swiss watchmaking industry, Alpina has been the source of numerous patents and innovative calibers. Alpina invented the concept of the Swiss sport watch, as we know it today, with the birth of its legendary Alpina 4 in 1938.
Today, Alpina is one of the very few independent Swiss watch companies, which develop, produce and assemble their own movements entirely in-house. Alpina manufactures five in-house calibers: the AL-980 Tourbillon; the AL-718 World Timer; the AL-950 Automatic Regulator; the AL-710 Automatic Small Date, and, most recently, the AL-760 Flyback Chronograph, featuring the new and patented “Direct Flyback” technology.
Faithful to its long tradition of innovation, in 2015 Alpina introduced the first Swiss made Horological Smartwatch, thereby creating an entirely new watch category in the Swiss watch industry.
Alpina’s mission is to design and engineer luxury sport watches that operate with the greatest precision and reliability possible in the most demanding sporting environments, like the Alps.
