The prestigious Only Watch 2015 charity auction came to a successful close in Geneva. The Manero ChronoPerpetual in white gold that Swiss manufacturer Carl F. Bucherer created uniquely for this occasion was auctioned off at 46.000 CHF for the benefit of the Monaco Association Against Muscular Dystrophy (AMM).
Geneva, November 7th, 2015. The long anticipated global Only Watch 2015 roadshow culminated in an exclusive exhibition at the La Réserve Genève Hotel before all unique timepieces were to be auctioned off. The opening of this final exhibition was celebrated with an exclusive cocktail in the presence of his majesty Prince Albert II of Monaco.
The Swiss watch brand Carl F. Bucherer was invited to join the exclusive group of watch manufacturers contributing to the auction. The proceeds are donated in support of the Monaco Association Against Muscular Dystrophy (AMM) for the research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
For this worthy cause, Carl F. Bucherer created a unique timepiece that is exceptional in every way: The Manero ChronoPerpetual OnlyWatch 2015. This model features a “grand complication” perpetual calendar, indicating the date, day, month, year and moonphase without requiring manual adjustment until the year 2100. Also featuring a chronograph, the mechanism incorporates a flyback complication. Designed specifically for Only Watch’s charity auction, the date of the auction is marked on the black dial in red-colored text, and the sapphire crystal caseback reads “Only Watch 2015 – Pièce Unique – Fabriquée en Suisse”. The 18-carat white gold case houses the automatic caliber CFB 1904 with a 50-hour power reserve.
This unique watch model was auctioned off in Geneva on November 7th by the esteemed auctioneer Aurel Bacs. At a price of 46.000 CHF, a watch enthusiast from Germany, outdid his fellow bidders and acquired the Manero ChronoPerpetual OnlyWatch 2015 for his private collection.
