Trunk Show – Style for a Cause is back in Delhi for the second time, on the 5th & 6th of April. In the 3 years since its inception, the show has gained an enviable reputation of associating with innovative young designers from the across the country.
Trunk Show – Style for a Cause is curated for fashionistas and discerning shoppers with a taste for ingenious fabrics and fits. It brings together an exclusive ensemble of some of the most edgy and sought after designers who are carefully handpicked from all over India for a good cause.
Around 14 upcoming designers who are set to make a mark in the world of high fashion are participating in this year’s event to be held on the 5th and 6th of April, 2016 at Alliance Française de Delhi.
Tagged as Style for a Cause, the show is held in aid of Concern India Foundation, a non-profit organisation that supports over 270 grassroots programme across India, working in the areas of education, health and community development.

Akaaro
Akaaro focuses on reviving contemporary Indian hand woven textiles. It experiments with different regional materials alongside unconventional fabrics that result in specialised products signifying the importance of handcrafting over mechanised production.
Guapa
Guapa is a fun label specialising in resort wear. Their styles are effortless, colorful and most importantly, comfortable. The designer has a penchant for picking special elements from the everyday ordinary. Guapa’s aim is to provide fuss-free clothing that can be worn with brogues as easily as it can be worn with heels!
Artisau
Artisau emphasizes the wisdom in dressing simple. The clothes are carefully hand-stitched and detailed, integrating the ancient Indian practices of sewing and darning into details of importance. Made of only natural fabrics and hand woven in various parts of the country, the collection is an apt choice for both a laid-back Sunday brunch or a casual evening with friends.
Love Birds
Love Birds is an approach to contemporary lifestyles. With straight lines, boxy, comfortable and effortless silhouettes, the collection is aimed to be a striking representation of the delicate urban theme of beauty and appearances. Square Loop
Square Loop’s philosophy stems from a vision that accessories in future will not be considered an addition to the attire but an integral part of your daily wear. Freedom of thought and breaking of notions are at the core of creating their bags, with special attention to urban utility and comfort.
The Pot Plant
The Pot Plant is a label that strives to bring back fuss-free clothing stitched to the nines with breathable cotton fabrics. Their aesthetic includes age-neutral cuts, breezy fits and skin-friendly. Languid contours and 100% cotton remains the basis of their collections, making life greener one garment at a time. Their philosophy is to work towards zero waste by re-purposing and up cycling all fabric scraps.
Tushar Bhartiya
Tushar Bhartiya builds an aesthetic universe of sartorial props where graceful fits, innovative cuts and minute pattern details playfully merge with luscious fabrics and quaint embellishments. Each piece is lovingly created in the spirit of fine dressmaking, bespoke tailoring and expert craftsmanship to ensure a balanced interplay of style, fit, comfort and construction.
Khadijeh

Ayca
Ayca is a homegrown brand that makes use of essential oils, natural ingredients and traditional methods to painstakingly create bath and body products. Using the purest of nature’s ingredients and extracted oils, blended into naturally nourishing bases, their commitment is to preserve ancient crafts and offer a holistic approach to refresh, replenish and revitalize. Products include body washes and lotions, massage oils, aloe gels, face scrubs, bath salts, pure beeswax candles and diffuser oils.
Bodice
The brainchild of Ruchika Sachdeva, Bodice has pioneered a polished aesthetic that continues to play with ideas of modernity and exploration while working with indigenous materials and techniques. This formula has produced a recognisable identity, which is carefully constructed through the integration of androgyny and the reinvention of classics with a subtle hint of irony.
Injiri
Founded in 2009 by Chinar Farooqui, Injiri is dedicated to creating high-quality textile products using traditional Indian techniques. The inspiration for most of their work comes from the dress styles of rural India and other folk cultures from around the world. Elements of textile design such as kor (borders) and kanni (selvedge) are used as important details on the garments to celebrate the process of hand-weaving and the work of craftspeople around the country.
Runaway Bicycle
Runaway Bicycle is about being comfortable, cheery and cool as the afternoon breeze. Handlooms, cottons and khadi fabrics are used in creative fun designs. They make clothes that should let you run with the wind, climb trees, loll in the grass if you want to.
Tokree
Tokree is a one stop nostalgia shop of carefully curated Indian handicrafts, striving to weave an exclusive antique sensibility with utilitarian crafts to stock their shop with collectables viable for modern day consumers.
