- A week-long trip to network and meet the UK based potential clients and investors
New Delhi, June 20, 2016: Delhi-based contextual marketing platform – Wigzo won the 2016 Great Tech Rocketships Award and is now set to make a mark on the region-based startup ecosystem during its week- long visit. Wigzo was selected as a winner, along with 5 other Indian start-ups, from the 285 applications received from across India.
The Great Tech Rocketships Initiative 2016 (GTRS) is a part of the India-UK Tech Bridge that aims at connecting India’s high potential technology companies to the local business and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the UK. This ambitious initiative was launched in 2014 and this year applications opened on January 14, with a call for submissions from the most impressive emerging tech companies in India.
On winning the award and before going for the week long trip, Umair Mohammed, CEO, Wigzo said, “We are immensely happy on winning the Great Tech Rocketships Award. The winners of The Great Tech Rocketships Awards 2016 have been awarded with a week-long paid trip to the UK as an opportunity to fast track their international growth. The trip, starting today, includes interaction with world class investors, incubation hubs and networking sessions with like-minded entrepreneurs, start-ups, research scholars and pioneering companies.
