Life Time Achievement Award presented to Mr M. Muthujothi, Executive Director, DCM Shriram Ltd. at the 74th Annual Convention of The Sugar Technologists Association of India conferred by former President of India – Ms. Pratibha Patil
New Delhi, 2 August, 2016: Mr. M. Muthujothi, Executive Director (Sugar), DCM Shriram Ltd was conferred with the prestigious “Life Time Achievement Award” for his outstanding contribution to sugar industry spanned over 4 decades by STAI – The Sugar Technologists Association of India.
The award was conferred by Hon’ble former President of India – Ms. Pratibha Patil at the function, which was also attended by Mr. Sharad Pawar (MP & former Cabinet Minister). This award was presented to him at the 74th Annual Convention & International Sugar Expo 2016 in Delhi.
A post graduate in Sugar Technology from National Sugar Institute, Kanpur, Mr. M. Muthujothi has spent 48 years in the Sugar Industry in various verticals including, cane, technical, administration, skill development etc. His passion for the sugar sector has made him travel to all leading sugar producing countries in the world, while being instrumental in bringing new technologies to the Indian Sugar Industry like Falling Film Evaporator, Cane Diffusion, Co-generation, Syrup clarifier, Seed pan with reverse energy etc.
He is the committee member of ISMA, Fellow member of Sugar Technologists’ Association of India and member of International Society of Sugar Cane Technologists. He is also the founder president of an orphanage and old age Home for the last 25 years.
