GAZPROM FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP (F4F) INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S PRESS-CENTER INITIATES WORK IN 64 COUNTRIES

 

WORLDWIDE 23/06/2017. Gazprom FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP (F4F) international children’s press-center has started work in 64 countries. The Press-center, which has been active throughout the season, unites 12 year old kids from countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, South and North America, who have taken up the role of young journalists and will report actively on the FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP events.

The Press Centre enables young journalists to discuss and report on the activities of young ambassadors by spreading awareness on the Nine Values (friendship, equality, fairness, health, peace, devotion, victory, traditions and honour) of the F4F program. As a part of the Fifth edition of the F4F programme, the young ambassadors have met and discussed the programme values with football stars, international journalists and famous artists around the world.

Ananya Kamboj, an 8th standard student from Chandigarh, was selected to represent India as a Young Journalist to cover the activities of the F4F programme. Ananya will join Young Journalists from around the world in St. Petersburg, Russia in July 2017. She will accompany Sujal Kahar, the 12 year old Mumbai lad who was selected as the Young Footballer from India, who will play a match with an international team of his peers in St. Petersburg.

Key activities of the F4F international children’s press-center will take part in St. Petersburg, Russia from 26th of June to 3rd of July. The young journalists will cover activities of the Football for Friendship 2017 International Championship and Gazprom Football for Friendship 2017 International Children’s Forum. The young journalists will work in 4 media directions namely: international FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP TV channel, F4F newspaper, new media and F4F social networks, blogs and webpages. The young journalists will also develop media materials for leading international media publications of the participating countries. The selected candidates will also be taken to watch the finals of the FIFA Confederation Cup 2017 at the St. Petersburg Stadium

On her selection as the Young Journalist, Ananya Kamboj, said “I am extremely delighted to have got the opportunity to participate as a young journalist in the Football for Friendship project. I am excited to take up the role of a journalist by reporting exclusively on the Football for Friendship program. I believe that the values that the program promotes are important for each and every individual and the International Children’s Forum will provide me a platform to discuss the promotion of these values around the world. I also look forward to interact with young journalists from different countries which will help me to learn more about other cultures”

Ivan Dzodic special reporter of the Serbian sports daily magazine «Sportski zurnal said: “I am very happy that F4F international children’s press-center provides a unique opportunity for the young ambassadors to work in such a professional environment and get a real-life journalism experience. The Football for Friendship (F4F) international children’s social project is implemented by Gazprom since 2013. The project unites children of different nationalities, different sexes, different physical abilities. Friendship, peace and equality are the key values ​​promoted by participants of the FOOTBALL FOR FRIENDSHIP. The goal of the project is the development of children’s football, fostering tolerance and respect for different cultures and nationalities among children from different countries.
