Every year close to 300 women in India suffer from acid attacks in the name of love. This Valentine’s Day, GrabOn, has partnered with Chhanv Foundation to educate the masses about the growing cases of acid attacks on women. On 14th January 2018, a different kind of love story will be tied in knots. Rani, an acid attack victim who lost her eyesight to the horrific attack has fought against all odds and eventually regained her ability to see, thanks to intensive surgeries. While bedridden in the hospital, she met the love of her Saroj who has nursed her back to health and loved her unconditionally. They have been together ever since and today they’re getting engaged at Cafe Sheroes Hangout, Lucknow. This event is aimed at encouraging all the other survivors to keep up the fight and to never give up on their dreams. Unfortunately, Rani’s story isn’t the only one, there are lots of other who fell victims to similar attacks.
