Following enormous success at the sold-out tournament in Melbourne, on Monday night “Tie Break Tens” held its first-ever tournament on US soil at Madison Square Garden, an iconic venue. This time around, it was the women’s turn, with eight world-class female players battling it out three days before International Women’s Day. Among them was Ukrainian legend-in-the-making Elina Svitolina, who beat the Chinese champion Shuai Zhang. This season, the twenty-three-year-old athlete burst into the tennis firmament with a complete game and a mastery of every shot: 4th in the WTA rankings, she is now one of the world’s rising tennis stars.

Ulysse Nardin presents the new 37 mm Classico Jade: five small-sized steel models available in blue, gray, or red with a mother-of-pearl dial embellished with a wave of diamonds.

In 2013, Ulysse Nardin launched the Jade, paying homage to a revered gem that the Chinese royal court considered as a concentrate of magic in mineral form, a true link between heaven and earth. Today, five years later, five new Jade models put the spotlight on an even more precious stone: the diamond.

These superb round-case styles are the newest additions to the Classic collection. The hour, minute, and second hands are driven by the collection’s star caliber: the automatic-winding UN-815 movement, an example of reliability incarnated. A breathtaking new look: ten diamonds form a delicate, featherlight wave pattern in the lower left quarter of the mother-of-pearl dial. 76 other stones illuminate the stainless steel bezel.

Feminine colors enhance the mother-of-pearl’s multitude of shades and the incandescent light of the diamonds: blue on the leather strap and large Arabic numerals, garnet on the strap and indicators, or even white on the strap and gray on the dial. The blue and gray versions are also offered with a more subtle stainless steel bezel without the diamond setting.
