Dogs have been known throughout history to be man’s best friend, their loyalty towards humans is unmatched and they bring with them unconditional love wherever they go. But there are times when people consider them mere tools of experiments. Fortunately, there are also people who are wise to understand the pain of animals.
Rashmi, is one such person from Bangalore. She came across, Kristy, a Golden Retriever, whose growth was stunted because of an inexpert breeding. Coupled with a severe skin infection Kristy was abandoned and left shivering in the streets of Bengaluru. Rashmi, took him home but was unable to keep him in her own house as she already had 2 dogs with her. She immediately started an adoption hunt for Kristy. The adoption procedure took 2 months and these 2 months she kept Kristy in a foster home. Her daily foster home fees along with the Vets charges were too weak to dampen Rashmi’s spirit. She started a fundraiser for Kristy on ImpactGuru.com and in 10 days time she surpassed the required amount. Today Kristy has been adopted by two loving parents from Kerala and now he responds to Joy.
Thanks to Rashmi’s quick thinking and intervention, Kristy (now Joy) is healthy and has a new home with a loving family.
