Abu Dhabi, UAE, 1 November 2015:  Top Australian athletes competing at the 2015 ISAF Sailing World Cup Final in Abu Dhabi joined expatriates to cheer on their country in the climax to the Rugby World Cup, and put on a brave face afterwards.

Tom Burton, taking a break from chasing the Laser gold medal, was among the sailors hosted by Aussies Abroad, the community based organisation, as they watched the Wallabies take on New Zealand on a giant screen at PJ’s bar in Le Royal Meridien.

There was no happy Australian ending, as the All Blacks retained their World Cup crown, and it was back to the water today for the sailors as the regatta reached its climax with the medal races at Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club.
