BESC, Kolkata 04/11/2016. Basav Bhasttacharya, veteran journalist (ex Business Standard and Economic Times), ace nature photographer and spin doctor (Senior Advisor, Integral PR & PRCAI chairperson East) visited the CorpComm@BESC and spent time interacting with the students.
He spoke at length about the vocation, explaining the intricacies and the finer nuances to the students. He also regaled them with nuggets of his actual experience from his long and illustrious career, sitting as he has, on both sides of the communication desk. He also took questions from the students, explaining in detail, even as he exhorted the students and spelled out the hacks needed to excel in the field.
“It is extremely encouraging” said Mr. Bhattacharya, “to see so many of you, young and bright faces raring to take up Corporate Communication as a profession. I am sure that you will take up from where we leave and scale heights that we merely dreamt of”.
Later Mr Bhattacharyya called on Prof. Dilip Shah, the Dean of Student Affairs, BESC and congratulated him for starting this unique course and expressed his admiration not only about the way the course has been designed, and is conducted, but also at the level of knowledge and proficiency of the students, who are, he said, “already industry ready and are fit to be deployed.”
The 36 Chambers of CorpComm is a 3 month course that has been created, is curated and conducted by Chawm Ganguly who is the editor of www.corecommunique.com.
