The Bengal Chamber earlier today met Shri Bratya Basu, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, Information Technology and Electronics, Government of West Bengal immediately after he assumed office. This is well in sync with the Chamber’s speed and agility in the context of extending policy support to one of its principal stakeholders – the Government.
In a meeting which was attended by several members of the Chamber’s Emerging Technologies Committee spanning IT service providers, telecommunication company and premier academic institution, the discussions with the Hon’ble Minister were focused on creating the enabling ecosystem for progress of IT and Electronics in the State. A number of focused activities were discussed including Road Map for showcasing West Bengal as a preferred IT destination, reaching out to the IT majors, etc.
