- Unveils new Monochrome Laser Printer and Multi-Function Centers (MFCs)
- Aims to gain over 15% market share in the Mono Laser category by 2015 in East India

Friday, July 19, 2013, Kolkata: Brother International India, a global player in the development, manufacturing and marketing of printing, communication and digital imaging technologies for Home, SOHO and Enterprise, today announced its growth plans for India market. In a move to further expand Brother’s penetration in Indian market and establish deeper connect with the Indian consumers, the company announced addition of 3 new Mono Laser products to its existing wide portfolio of Mono Laser, Colour and Inkjet multifunction centers and printers.
These new models are Global Strategic models which are specifically targeted at Emerging Countries. Considering the East India region, with this initiative, Brother aims to achieve 15% Market Share by 2015. Also with this launch, the company aims to achieve over 15% market share in the Mono Laser category by 2015 in India. Brother will continue to invest in the East region as per the requirement.
Building on the company’s 100 year history of innovation and technological expertise, this new range of 2 MFCs® (Multifunction Centers) and 1 Single Function Laser printer boasts of being highly reliable, affordable and efficient for home, SOHO and enterprise. The product line-up includes HL-1111, a single function laser printer, while the DCP-1511 & MFC–1811 are the MFCs. These products bring new technical innovations that help customers experience hassle free printing through efficient paper handling capabilities at affordable cost.

HL-1111 Monochrome Laser printer: The HL-1111 is a Monochrome Laser printer with 20 ppm print speed that offers USB 2.0 connectivity with a 200Mz Processor. The printer boasts of a toner saver mode that ensures toner is saved while printing documents. Additionally, one can also print the time & date &/or user ID on the document. The printers that supports Windows & Mac, also allows users to print easy to read, professional documents into booklet formats.
DCP-1511 Monochrome Laser MFC: The DCP-1511 is a Monochrome Laser MFC, which offers 16MB memory, has high speed USB 2.0 connectivity with 200Mz Processor. With print speed up to 20 ppm, the first page time out is less than 10 seconds and the warm up time from sleep mode is less than 18 seconds. The printer offers the Toner save mode and Poster printing along with the watermark printing and the manual booklet printing. The copy function allows multi copy, N-in-1 copying which compresses 2 or 4 pages into one A4 sheet along with the ID Card copy function to print both sides of the card on one page. The device also allows users to send scans to Email, Images or Files.
MFC- 1811 Monochrome Laser MFC: The MFC- 1811 is a Monochrome Laser MFC, which offers 16MB memory, has high speed USB 2.0 connectivity with 200Mz Processor along with a 10 page ADF. With print speed up to 20 ppm, the first page time out is less than 10 seconds and the warm up time, from sleep mode, is less than 18 seconds. The copy function allows multi copy, N-in-1 copying which compresses 2 or 4 pages into one A4 sheet along with the ID Card copy function to print both sides of the card on one page. The device also allows users to send scans to Email, Images or Files. Additionally, the Fax function features a modem speed of 14.4 Kbps.
