Continuing Montegrappa’s support for sport, we are pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring the promising car-racing star, Giuliano Alesi. The name is familiar to Montegrappa enthusiasts and racing fans, as his father is none other than Formula One legend, Jean Alesi, who is an old friend, too, of Montegrappa.

Driving cars proudly bearing the Montegrappa logo, Giuliano – who just turned 17 – has already raced in a number of series. Giuliano began karting in 2013 before competing in the KF3 category that year, finishing 14th overall. In March 2015, he made the step up from karting to the French F4 Championship, earning pole position in his first race, setting the fastest lap and taking the win. He secured two more victories and two junior victories and finished 2nd in the junior category and 4th in the overall standings.

In December 2015, Giuliano took part in the GP3 series’ post-season testing with Arden International and Jenzer Motorsport. Racing for Trident in 2016, he scored his first point in GP3 in the feature race of Spa-Francorchamps. Further indicating his bright future on the path to F1, Giuliano Alesi was inducted into the Ferrari Driver Academy in March of this year, linking him to the same team his father raced for in the early 1990s.

It is with no small measure of pride that we extend the Montegrappa family to include Giuliano, who will surely add new vigour to the pens that embody the Italian spirit.
