Mumbai, August 25, 2016: Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) has been voted as the “Best Metro Airport” at the Air Passengers Association of India (APAI) awards held in New Delhi yesterday. The esteemed award, presented by Union Textile minister, Smt. Smriti Irani, was conferred to CSIA in recognition of its efforts to offer best-in-class comfort and convenience to all travellers through state-of-the-art infrastructure.
CSIA was adjudged the “Best Metro Airport” on the basis of a poll conducted by APAI, where passengers from across the country participated in the survey. Appraised by the passengers themselves, this achievement mirrors CSIA’s vision to continuously enhance passenger experience at the airport and also provides further testimony to CSIA’s endeavours to excel in customer service.
The grand event, hosted by APAI in the national capital, witnessed the presence of Union ministers Mr Nitin Gadkari, Mr Ram Vilas Paswan, Mr. Rajiv Pratap Rudy and other key members from the political fraternity.
Established in 1990, The Air Passengers Association of India (APAI) is the country’s only national, non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of the air passenger and plays a very important role in the development of the aviation industry.
