CULINARY TEAM OF HOTEL SAHARA STAR WINS AT “GREAT INDIA CULINARY CHALLENGE 2017”

Chefs of Hotel Sahara Star shine at the challenge with 2 silver and 3 bronze medals in their kitty.   


MUMBAI, JANUARY 2017: The year 2017 has begun on a high note for Hotel Sahara Star. The Chefs of the prestigious hotel emerged as shining stars at the grand finale of “Great India Culinary Challenge” – India’s foremost professional food preparation and presentation competition. Competing against culinary professionals across the country, Chef Abhishek Jagtap and Chef Aniket Thorve won silver medals for live cooking category; Chef Virendra Dange and Chef Abhishek Yeram won bronze for plated appetizers and Chef Andrew won bronze for hot cooking. The hotel has been a consistent performer at the culinary challenge with their award-winning performances in year 2011 and 2015 in addition to 2017. Presently the Hotel Sahara Star has 14 medals in their kitty.

The soaring team spirit has once again has inspired Hotel Sahara Star to achieve accolades at the Great Indian Culinary Challenge. Food Hospitality World in association with the Western India Culinary Challenge brought the 12th edition of The Great India Culinary Challenge (GICC) 2017 with Food Hospitality World exposition. Judged by a panel of professionals from the industry, each chef is evaluated on skills, presentation and innovation. The Chefs of the Hotel surpassed the expectations and made their way to win the medals.
